Review on 🕒 Timex Metropolitan R AMOLED Smartwatch: GPS & Heart Rate 42mm – Black/Brown Leather & Silicone Strap by Paul Haswood

I bought this 'smartwatch' for my health/life insurance and fitness programs. Unfortunately, due to inaccuracies, I cannot recommend this device as a fitness tracker. As opposed to my performance drop from tracking healthy activities, reporting these incorrect monitoring stats would inevitably increase my performance as the numbers put me in the "risk zone". As I sit and write this review, my heart rate is 138 beats per minute. When I measure my heart rate manually, it's 71 beats per minute. During exercise, it drops by about 20-40 bpm, even when I'm going above my maximum heart rate. This is unacceptable. What I like: - Slim design. Looks very good. Lightweight, you almost don't even know it on your wrist. - Has custom watch faces. - Good battery life. What I don't like: - Inaccurate heart rate monitor. - Inaccurate GPS. It takes about 1-2 minutes to acquire a tracking satellite. - Overlaying GPS tracks on Google Maps actually makes me jump off a bridge. - The application is poorly integrated. When I start my activity from the application, it starts on the watch. You must be running the app on the watch to get fitness tracking. Once a workout is started from the watch, the watch is locked for other functions until you end the workout. So if you get a notification and you miss it, you can't get it until you stop exercising. If you need to use the stopwatch feature to record your actual heart rate, you cannot access this feature until you stop exercising. Things I need before I indulge in more expensive options. YAMAY did what I was looking for, so I took the risk of switching to Metropolitan R. Unfortunately, it was actually a downgrade in functionality. I would not recommend this watch for tracking anything health related.
