No, don't buy this

Sorry, we were looking for an imposition printer for our office of 3 people that could print 11x17, but it wasn't available. Ecologists, consultants, we're not big fans of printing, to be clear, we don't use the printer that much, although we don't need an industrial printer, would it be nice to find one that can print for us in the next 7 years? 5? Am I asking too much? From the start, getting this printer to connect correctly and stably to our network was a nightmare. We finally got a straight cable and circumvented some of the problems. We bought BTW in March 2020 so we've had this headache for over a year now. In the last 6 months we had to carry out maintenance work (cleaning the printheads). ) 3-4 times about once a week to get proper printing result, maintenance takes about 5 minutes, waste of time and frustrating. Yes, I used overpriced Brother ink. Fakes weren't a problem. The problem this week is that the printer reports an error that we have no ink cartridges installed. You are installed. Yes, I took them out and shook them, reinstalled them tightly several times. Yes I've cycled the machine on and off, yes I've tried bypassing the head cleaner and starting again, this won't happen unless the machine thinks I've installed all the cartridges. I won the approval of some, then messed around with others and lost the whole party. I contacted Brother Support at 3pm PST. You could only get virtual help, which didn't help. He literally asked me four times what the error message was and was convinced it had to be something else, so I had to interrupt him. An hour of self-troubleshooting, then half an hour of gossip with idiots, and I was done. Beyond the obvious, a board got fried somewhere, needs replacing, not worth it for this POS, Listen Brother, Xerox, HP or whatever. I want an affordable, durable, lightweight printer with an 11x17 print capacity. Not something with 10,000 plastic parts, but something solid, durable. Annual replacement of the printer is nonsense. Willing to shell out $1,000-$1,5000 considering we don't really use it that often. The extra money will be worth the headache relief. If you have this talent, please lend a hand.
