Not for HDMI cables!
The hole looks small in the photo but they also showed a photo with a switch on it so I figured I could hook up an HDMI AND a power cord so that would work for me too ( Portal, same strings). nope You can't insert HDMI through the cable slot so I don't know how they think you can tuck a switch on it when the hole doesn't even fit the required cables. Oh. They refunded my money which is nice but it's not as advertised. Also, it's an awful felt-velvet texture at the top, which I wasn't expecting.
