I bleach the plastic part of the comb to get rid of the rinse aid, then soak it in ammonia to cut off hairspray and styling gels, rinse and it's good to go for another year or until it hardens again. Oh, to clean the iron yourself, you have two options, either use the SOS pad or wipe with a paper towel to wash off the soap. By dampening a cloth with strong-smelling ammonia and wiping the iron, you will also remove anything that has built up on the iron. Good luck and good product, I hope they keep doing it.
