This is a great lightweight long underwear. Very convenient. The top is annoying because the neck opening is massive. I don't understand what's behind it. I only use bottoms and they are great. Do fine, but if the temperature is below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, you'll need a thicker version. The material is smooth, like silk or satin, and doesn't cause too much drag under my canvas carts, making it easy to move around. That's why I got them. My merino wool long johns are harder to move and stick more to my cloth pants. They're also incredibly soft.
