The first thing to know is that it is matte. This automatically makes the brightness lower than most others. The picture quality doesn't look sharp. I needed an adapter because although it said it would come with a USB-C to USB-C cable, there wasn't one. Not sure if the adapter helped with the sharpness, but HDMI should work. I returned it immediately, bought my husband an Ananta portable monitor on Kickstarter a few months ago, and it's practically indispensable.
