38KN Pro Pulley UIAA Certified With Ball Bearing, Prusik Minding for Climbing, Rescue, Lifting, Hitch Tending and Zipline - XINDA Side Plates Swing Pulley

I was excited to try out the XINDA Side Plates Swing Pulley as it was marketed as a multipurpose pulley for climbing, rescue, lifting, hitch tending and zipline. The 38KN Pro Pulley is UIAA certified and comes with ball bearing and Prusik minding which definitely adds to its versatility. Upon using the product, I found that it did perform well for most of the activities mentioned. However, I did notice that the side plates tended to swing more than I would have liked, especially when used for lifting and rescue operations. This did cause a bit of hassle and delay in operations. The overall quality of the product seems sturdy and the ball bearing works well, allowing for smooth use. However, I would suggest that the manufacturers work on improving the side plates to reduce the swinging motion, especially for operations that require more stability. In conclusion, the XINDA Side Plates Swing Pulley is a decent multipurpose pulley that does perform well for most activities. While the quality and build is good, the side plate swinging can be a bit of an issue, which lowers my rating to 3 stars.

Pros
  • With its durable construction and advanced design features, including Prusik minding and a ball bearing system, the XINDA Side Plates Swing Pulley delivers exceptional stability, safety and efficiency. This makes it an ideal choice for serious climbers, rescue workers, and anyone who needs a dependable and high-quality pulley for their activities
Cons
  • At a higher price point than many basic pulleys, the 38KN Pro Pulley may not be the best choice for beginners or those on a tight budget looking for an entry-level climbing pulley
