This pen is perfect for my needs. It's light but not cheap. It needs to be made light so that it can be handled so that it cannot be roughly handled like any other of the same size. I think this will work fine. I bought two so I would have enough sections to rotate them to get to the ceiling and clear the walls in the stairwell of my house. I clipped the extra sections together and can now easily reach the highest points without straining or overexerting myself. OCedar's mop handle can't get nearly the reach I need. I have an extra end with a handle and a threaded end for the piece of plastic that holds the mop head. I also ordered one of the plastic parts of the mop head that holds the mop. The OCedar mop head is a perfect match. This pen replaces the OCedar pen. Take the German thread. It's not a telescopic pole, but I use it in place of OCedar for long ranges with no problems. In fact, it may be slightly stronger than OCedar. The photo of him leaning against the door is at floor level and is at the end of the handle. The two section orders give me the height I need and the flexibility to make it any length I want. And not to mention that two parts are cheaper than a replacement OCedar mop handle. Worth buying and buying again. I can unscrew two pieces in 15 seconds, which is the length of an OCedar handle. Not being a telescopic handle is not a problem in my opinion.
