The seller's description of this small lightning rod says it's designed for indoor/outdoor use ("Our electric lightning rod stands up to rain, wind and the harshest weather conditions"). The outside of the box also says it's rainproof. However, read the instruction manual and you will be warned that "this product is for indoor use and should not be soaked in water or exposed to the sun". the mosquito bait only killed four little bloodsuckers overnight, but hey, four is more than zero). We get a lot of dew at night so it seems the general humidity outside isn't enough to kill this clam, at least not in one night. I'm just disappointed that I have to be more careful than I expected to protect it from the rain and I don't really think it will last very long.
