Wow - what an improvement!
First of all, it's great because it doesn't use glue. With Apple displays, peeling off the self-adhesive screen protector causes problems with their notorious protective coating ("screengate"). It fits my M1 MacBook Air perfectly and stays in place with no issues. I really like the look and feel of it. Matte screen! Zero reflection and very pleasing to the eye. Whether this leads to blurring, I cannot say. There are no problems with the brightness either. It adds a little separation when you close the lid, as others have pointed out. Very low.
