I should have looked more closely at the reviews as it mentions - none of the inner pockets have a mechanism to close them securely. No zippers, buttons or Velcro. The top flap has secure latches, but there are gaps on the side that aren't big enough for an entire wallet or phone, but keys can certainly slip out. It's everything you'd expect in terms of Carhartt quality, and it's super cute! I really like it, I'll keep it to myself and find a way to sew on some buttons or velcro. In fact, I wouldn't stop you from buying one if you think you can do the same. Like so many others, so close to perfection.
