Due to the metal sensitivity I just trust the claim that they are 14k and indeed nickel free. I ordered in white gold, but due to the small size - which makes reading the marking, if any, virtually impossible - and no documentation in or on the gift box or inner packaging, your guess is as good as mine. Typically, manufacturers include a sticker or clearer identification of real 14k gold pieces to justify the price. They're said to be 58.5% pure gold and 'hypoallergenic', but the term is used as casually as supermarkets claim their veggies are 'organic'. I'm not too concerned about that. But it's important to note, especially if you're giving them away or if you're allergic enough, you need to be more sure of the authenticity. Which metals make up the rest of the proportion depends on the manufacturer. I'd rather call them nickel-free than nickel-free. I bought them for my second ear piercing; It is recommended to wear earrings 24/7 in the first year. But I sleep on my side, so most sleepover stilettos are uncomfortable. Based on reading all the reviews I was expecting a tiny size - in fact that was the only reason I bought them - but obviously they serve me more as a cuff. as a tire. My ears are exceptionally medium sized, and yes, even though they're really tiny, I was still a bit surprised that so many people said they were too small for babies. Because technically I think I could get them in my regular ear piercing. So mileage is different. Think of the dimensions and I don't think you will be disappointed. However, if you receive a pair that doesn't snap as intended, you must return them immediately - they could slip off too easily. But my pair is well made and comfortable, and the locking mechanism is reliable. I would like to have more confidence in the metal content but only time will tell. I like them so much I'm considering buying them in yellow gold.
