This shiny little amp was just what the doctor ordered for great signal around the house while still leaving room for expansion in the garage and/or patio for when I wanted to travel later. Moved into a house where the previous owner who built it ran crappy coax (RG59) cable everywhere with oversized splitters that left a minimum of -3dB every time. This ruined the signal overhead and broke the cable modem's -15 dB limit. With this amp, some cable cleaning and splitter replacement I got the router down to a more stable -2 to -8db range, could probably get it down to 0 or +db if I wanted to remove another mile of crappy RG59 cable and replace with an RG6 -Cable.
