I used to have a much cheaper plastic drawer under my desk. It was useful but when I needed another I decided to buy this more expensive all metal one. I'm glad I did! It's much stronger than plastic. It glides smoothly and feels like it will last forever. In my opinion it is worth the money. My only complaint is that I ordered white and got black instead. No doubt I could return it but I like it so much that I decided to keep it. Here's a decorating tip: if you can't turn your table (I installed it under a dining table on wheels), you're going to have a hard time holding the drawer. when drilling and screwing from underneath in place unless you have a second pair of hands to assist. So I set mine on the arms of my office chair and then lifted the chair until it locked the drawer under the desk. Then I could edit while the box was held by the chair.
