Review on πŸ”₯ Efficient Rowenta Access Steam Iron: 1700 Watts of Power in Sleek Black Design by Joseph Brendemuehl

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sturdy workmanship (as expected from Rowenta), slightly flawed design

Rowenta irons are workhorses and overall I'm happy with them! I didn't have one before, although I used my family members Rowenta iron, but I wanted one. I've never invested, but it's definitely worth it! This iron is strong and heavy enough to smooth out annoying creases, but not so heavy that my hands and back hurt after ironing. It heats up quickly and has an auto shut off feature that isn't overly sensitive so I don't try to keep the iron hot all the time. His instructions say to use tap water; Our tap water is lightly mineralized but not rich in iron, so I went ahead and trusted the directions and didn't use distilled water. So far there are no problems on this front. Steam is easy, like a spray. The entire iron is intuitive and easy to use, and it's easy to avoid touching hot parts or accidentally mis-adjusting. Generally well designed. The only exception to this design quality, as some others have pointed out, is that the water tank is orange and almost unreadable. This is a disadvantage, and almost the only one. It's nice to fill it to the brim, but it's important to know when it's full or full! Since it doesn't hold much water, I don't want to underfill, but it's hard to tell. Still, I'm happy with the iron.

Pros
  • Easy and convenient filling process
Cons
  • Poor instructions
