Older longhair cat with hairballs

YOU SHOULD CONTACT YOUR VET BEFORE GIVING YOUR PETS LAXATONE. We had to take our 13 year old cat to the vet because she couldn't swallow an ounce of food. It is a mixture of the Himalayas and Persia. She is 13 years old and fit for her age. An X-ray revealed she had a blockage, which the vet thought was a hairball because of its shape and mass. Our cat doesn't eat anything in the house and she likes to be clean so we can consider this a good diagnosis. The fact that our cat has a hairball does not mean that your cat will have the same symptoms as hers. The course of treatment Laxaton. He said older cats may have trouble coughing or passing hairballs. Laxathon did its job. We give it to her twice a day; 1/8 teaspoon in the morning and before bed, but you may need to adjust the dosage. We slide onto her paw and she licks it. This allows her to pass the hairball through her bowel instead of trying to cough it up or re-block it. We are on our 2nd tube and very happy with the product.
