Review on Ventmate 65483 White Replacement Ventline by Sam Simone

My fan had chips which caused the fan motor to become unbalanced and noisy so I ordered this fan. Note that you may think this is the standard motor shaft diameter, but this is not the case. The fan was identical to mine but my motor shafts were smaller than the 1/8th hole in this fan. Damn it, spend more money or try to stick? If you don't center it, it will become unbalanced and useless. My solution, I took the tube for the ink stick that holds the ink, used the end without ink, it fits the fan very snugly, I sprayed some wd40 and put it in there almost the full depth of the fan and cut it flush with the fan. Then I lubricated the motor shafts and used a coin to push down on this fan to close the hole so the motor shafts wouldn't push the inner plastic ink sleeve out the other end. Worked great! Fits perfectly and quietly. You didn't have to spend more money. If the motor ever fails, you can pry it out with a drill.
