I consider myself lucky because: - I live only 45 miles from a radio tower that gives decent performance. Great tuner. - My place is on the top floor with no obstruction from trees or buildings. With all of the above factors, and I know it's a lot, I got all 150 digital channels broadcast from the tower in a very clear picture. I would like to make this statement based on past experience. Before moving to my current location I tried at least half a dozen flat antennas with mixed results for the following reasons. - If you live too far from the train station. By that I mean being on the edge of any broadcaster's coverage area. Your space is blocked by a permanent structure. The placement of the antenna does not face the radio tower directly. Then the results can be anything but satisfactory. In most cases, this may not be due to the antenna, but a combination of the factors listed above. In my opinion almost all flat antennas are the same. None of them will be able to pick up any signal out of range of a particular station. You should study the ratings of the stations in your area. Update: performance holds up. A glaring disadvantage is the black color. It's heating up under the midday Southern California sun. The adhesive pad loses adhesion. The air in the suction cup expands. The antenna falls off. I bet there will be a white version soon.
