Let me start by saying that I have adult acne and initially these blades damaged my face/neck. But I found a solution that works for me. I use shaving oil instead of shaving cream. This allows me to shave and avoid uneven skin areas. As a result, the number of acne has decreased and the overall cleanliness of the skin has improved. Background: I used to use Mach 3 razors, but I had to change cartridges frequently to avoid skin irritation. I tried switching to an electric razor and saw a temporary improvement (regarding skin irritation and acne) but still wasn't satisfied. After researching DE razors and thinking about the benefits of a single blade versus multiple blades (Mach 3/electric razors) slicing across my face, I purchased a DE razor. In the early stages of wet shaving, I enjoyed trying different shaving creams and blade combinations. My favorite when using shaving cream is the Personna Blue blade as it is less aggressive and allows for a nice shave with minimal scratches. As mentioned above, when I first used Feather blades it was a bloodbath because I couldn't find the blemishes under the shaving cream and shaved right over it, oops. After discovering shaving oil (I use shaving secret), I gave Feather Blades a second chance. Wow! what difference does it make, so clean and smooth, as if she had shaved ten years off my apparent age. I have given up shaving creams and lotions and only use shaving oil. In summary, the Feather Blade combined with shaving oil provides an excellent shave with minimal irritation. My skin looks great and glows. If you have pimples or blemishes don't shy away from these blades, just use shaving oil to avoid potential pitfalls. My skin and face are radiant!
