. Heat transfer was identical to the original Radio Shack tapered tips. Strong magnet test on radio rack tips and Hakko tips I've noticed that Hakko tips and radio racks have a strong magnetic attraction. The tips of first-class tools were magnetically attracted by half. However, this does not affect heating rate or heat transfer, and no change in the temperature set point at the soldering station is required between the three different brands of tips tested.
