I tried this product for the first time and dismissed it as eco-friendly junk that over-promised but didn't deliver. My first attempts at using it were to simply place one of the dryer balls in the wash for the same amount of time as a regular dryer sheet. This approach consistently resulted in static clothing, and I left the balls in the corner of my laundry room to collect dust for several months. that I used the product incorrectly. Here are the tips that made these balls work for me: 1. Some reviews mention a reduction in drying time. This is not a suggestion, it is required if you use them. Otherwise, the balls of yarn will dry your clothes too quickly and leave your clothes static.2. Use all balls at once. I figured it was literally a one-for-one replacement for dryer sheets. Sheep friends love to hang out, however, so drop them all (4 in the case of the set I bought) to maximize drying time and reduce static electricity.3. Use sheep to load after loading. Balloons don't need a break if you're like me and tend to throw out all your laundry in a Sunday panic attack at the end of the week. The heat of the dryer seems to keep them dry enough to withstand the drying stress. These are the top tips anyone would want me to give with this product. I have enjoyed the product a lot more now that I really understand how to use it.
