I bought these because of the 1ft cables which should make it easier to connect my iPhone to the charger. The day I received these cables, my wife's iPhone5 refused to charge. I made an appointment to take the phone to an Apple Store to try it out, but decided to try new cables. To my surprise, the phone started charging as soon as I connected the new cable. My guess is that the charging jack on the phone has worn out and the new cable offers a connection that my cheaper cables can't. These cables are well made and very strong. I would highly recommend them to anyone with an iPhone or iPad.
