Review on πŸͺ Max Effort Muscle Tri-Blend Protein: Cookies & Cream, Whey Protein, Whey Protein Isolate, Micellar Casein by Steffan Baggaley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I was hoping for more from the "Reese " effect.

Here's what I made: 8 ounces of unsweetened almond milk in a Pyrex measuring cup. Ice cubes to bring liquid to 12 oz. Mixture, in a blender. mixed fine; I thought some powder was stuck to the side of the blender bowl. Taste: weak. There are good substances here that give it flavor: peanut flour and cocoa powder. Not a very strong scent though. I know that increasing these two ingredients also increases carbs, and I appreciate that the manufacturer keeps these low (2 grams per serving), but both also include fiber to balance out the extra carbs. In any case. Three types of protein; It sounds like a good thing to experiment with and see if it gives different results compared to the protein isolate I usually use (which is more commonly used for baking than drinking). This almond milk may have hijacked and dulled the flavor, but I'll use that. To be honest, the directions say to use 8-12 ounces of WATER. So maybe that makes a difference. of taste intensity. Next time I have it I'll use water and if there's a significant difference in taste I'll update this review. My other objections, which are solely mine and do not reflect the perceived quality of this product: $$$$$ Forty three dollars? nope Not me. But I didn't buy a 3 source protein powder so maybe that's a reasonable price and it might not be a problem for you. Where do the ingredients come from? (company name) followed by the company address. Note that it doesn't say "Made in the USA" or "Made in the USA with ingredients from". (somewhere). Red flag. To be ahead. If you're shipping from China or elsewhere, feel free to say so, but don't say the product was made here just because you put your US business address on the label. If a company wants a product to be reliable then I think they have to earn it and that is NOT the way to go. I hope this review has enabled you, the Revain buyer, to make an informed purchase decision.
