Review on Versatile Think Tank Urban Access 15 Side-Loading Backpack for Sony, Fuji, Canon, Nikon DSLR/Mirrorless Cameras by Paul Varnado

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Excellent quality but not guaranteed to be compatible with 15 inch laptop

Fit, finish, materials and care are evident throughout. Good padding, great zips, a durable look and enough nooks and crannies to keep most happy. size, it promises to be a reliable and useful everyday bag. Adopt locking mechanism. Unless you're surrounded by petty thieves, this might not be a problem. - The advertised 15-inch laptop slot measures 15 inches at its highest center (14.5 inches at the curved edges of the slot) using a tape measure, but the Laptop measures 14.75 x 0.9235 inches (measured with calipers) protrudes 1/2 inch in the center and more at the edges, well past the zipper no matter how hard I pushed the laptop in and tried to unzip it pushing in HARD twice with the same result, it was very difficult to unscrew. I have no idea how anyone got their hands on a 15 inch Macbook or larger. I tried bypassing the pocket by putting the laptop in the main storage area, but it still wouldn't zip up. Unfortunately I bought it thinking I could carry a laptop around with me. , I could if it was a 14-inch or smaller laptop. I just want to warn others. Otherwise, this is a great case that I highly recommend. Note: I have another back cover, not for cameras, which laptop slot is 18 inch in the middle and 16 inch on the edges, of course the laptops I have fit perfectly 2. Note: 15 inch laptops have a screen size of 15.6 inches diagonally and a 17.5-inch outer casing diagonally.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Communication with seller
