If you have black garments like pants or cardigans, this will darken them a bit and save you the slightly faded look and lighter edges that come with age. However, you must let them soak for 48 hours. I stirred and stirred for 30 minutes and then shut it off. They were moist but didn't really look any different, so I kept them longer (48 hours) and stirred occasionally. IF you have an item that is dark blue or white, it will NOT turn black no matter how long you soak it. IF you have BLEACH stains on black or navy blue items, they will NOT be removed. They darkened a bit and I found that the permanent marker helped hide the bleach stains. I followed all the instructions, just kept everything longer. I will try another brand next time.
