Review on Sigma AF 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art Canon EF lens, black by Andrey Stanchev ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

Despite the aforementioned drawbacks, the choice has served me well for the past two years, and I have no regrets about making that decision. I have no intention of changing. I have attached a photo that serves as an example for this GL, as well as a shot that shows a paint flaw on the body.

Pros
  • Very nice picture for my eye, excellent contrast, good sharpness at an open aperture -Works without problems in conjunction with EOS R through an adapter, it opens well on its 30 megapixels -Chromatic aberrations are not critical, easily eliminated during photo processing - Hood and case included -No retractable parts of the structure -No image stabilization -No image stabilization -No image stabilization -No image stabilization -No image stabilization -No image stabilization - With a filter thread diameter of 67 millimeters, which is very convenient, there is a wide variety of filters available.
Cons
  • -The level of craftsmanship displayed in the painting (in a few spots, tiny bumps on the paint swelled up, and after that, they peeled off) -The quality of the gum that is located on the focus ring (which, after two years of usage, has developed a yellowish coating, whereas the gum that is located on my old 14-year-old 24-70 2.8 and 10-year-old 70-200 4.0 is still black) -Weight, despite the fact that it is generally unrealistic to anticipate that a lens with such specifications will be very light.
