The end result was nice and strong. Definitely higher quality than most Ashley furniture. Solid wood has a rich, beautiful finish. What a theft! Assembly was my only problem. This piece consists of 4 parts: a top with drawers, 2 sides (2 legs and an X for each) and a buttoned shelf. The bottom shelf is so narrow I had to force it into the leg slots with a hammer. Hand towel. Also, one of the holes in the shelf didn't line up with the leg hole, whether I rotated the shelf or not. I had to use a regular screw and make my own hole instead of using the included pan head screw and mounting hole. You can't see a screw is different because all screws are hidden. A real pain in the butt, but worth it.
