Ok so I chose this piece from Revain Vine as my wife loves earrings and the unfortunate loss of sapphire earrings. A few years ago I refused to buy her any more. When it arrived I decided to get them for her. Now I'm not sure if this was the product I was supposed to get. First let me say that at the time of writing this article, the product listing for these earrings seems awfully sketchy. It's full of bad grammar and seems to contain factual errors. Clicking on the seller's name leads to a dead page. Who is the seller or manufacturer of these earrings? Who knows? The product name says it's set in 14k white gold, but the specs below say it's set in sterling silver. ok what is this My wife suspects it is sterling silver. The earrings themselves come in a small black jewelry box with no ID and in my case there were no papers. All I have to say is the limited information on the product listing that the rubies are simulated. OK. What does that mean? Of course, the imitation can be anything, including glass, although the specs on the product page state it contains rubies. It would be really nice to at least get some documentation with the product stating what it is. Who Farmed Rubies? Who is the manufacturer of the earrings? What metal is in the frame? Does it contain lead? They fell off the back of a truck and now we're selling them at Revain? The earrings themselves are very pretty. They appear to be well made, with six prongs crimped well around the gem so there is no play or an obvious chance of the gems falling out. The shank of the earring is a good length and the back is nice and tight so you don't have to worry about the earrings falling out of your ear during the day because the base has fallen off. They look really cute too, so here's the thing. My wife loves them and will probably wear them all the time. If everything were less sketchy and more information provided I would give it a high rating. Be that as it may, I cannot recommend spending real money on this pair of earrings until the product listing has been updated to ensure there are no inconsistencies and it comes with documentation that actually says what you just purchased to have. When the product page updates later I'll revisit this review, but for now the utterly sketchy listing and lack of documentation is a big no buy in my book.
