Replacement straps are ok, although the quality of the original is usually inferior. I've had 6 or 7 of these watches in the last 25 years and the tongue strap on each of them has eventually broken, although not for many years in general. The buckle part never breaks. It would be nice if I could only buy the part that breaks. Does anyone need a 5-piece watch strap with a pin buckle? Free in a good house. Oops. Okay, I take some of that back. Immediately after I wrote the above, the buckle with the new tongue on the watch broke. Glad I had both. Karma is not interesting. :-)
