Direct replacement, why do so many of us have to replace defective fans within months of purchase?

These fans fit perfectly, installed with no problems. Two screws are under the front anti-slip pad and 4 under the back. Also a screw with a torx bit in the front center. Came with tool to open the lid which came off fairly easily. The fans themselves were easy to install. No more screaming banshees or dead fans.
