Review on Lenovo Onelink 40A40090Us Select ThinkPad by Nicholas Suave

Received this dock yesterday (8/24) to use with a brand new X1 Yoga (which I love!). Plugged it in straight away, tried a few USB connections and everything looked fine. HOWEVER, this morning (8/25) when I booted up I got a screen that the dock was not connected to the appropriate adapter. It connects to the included 90W power adapter. Checked all connections, ran system update and applied all available updates but dock still shows disconnected and not charging. I then called Lenovo Technical Support in Atlanta. They removed all the details and said it looks like the dock is faulty. They offered to send a replacement overnight. Update from 26.8. The replacement dock arrived before 10:00 am. Big. But when I opened it, I realized it was the WRONG document. They sent a OneLink Core dock (refurbished) which is very basic and doesn't have all the ports of a OneLink+ dock. So I called Lenovo Technical Support in Atlanta on the same number I had the day before. The guy who answered seemed confused, worried and disinterested. Eventually he said they don't do dock work and gave me another number to call which I did. They said they had nothing to do with it and still couldn't access the ticket number and sent me back to Lenovo Atlanta. This time I had a woman (Terri) who really delved into the issue. After a long conversation on the phone and several delays, they agreed to send OneLink+ as a replacement, but it's out of stock. They will be overnight when they receive new supplies. I'll update this review when I get the replacement (second) dock and see if that fixes the charging issue. I purchased this dock through Revain and the seller may have older stock. Update 8/31 is called Lenovo. Still in reserve. It is unknown when it will arrive (there is no ETA in their system). UPDATE The replacement dock came from Lenovo after about a week but with no delivery notification. It looks just like the original but actually charges the laptop. All ports work. Finally finished this saga.
