Poor GPS tracking in strap when iPhone 11 is worn on waist

This comfortable strap can be adjusted to stay in place while running. Unfortunately, I found that the GPS signal was very poor when my iPhone 11 was in this zone. Comparing exactly the same run (belted 3 times, many times with my old bandage) showed that my phone wasn't accurately tracking where I was on my route when the phone was in the belt. I lost a full 1/2 mile on a 4.25 mile course (which means it was 3.75 when I was using the belt). If you don't need accurate distance and pace data, this might not be a problem. This might also work with a synced watch/bracelet but I don't have one so I don't know. Good data helps motivate me, so I switched back to bandages. I'm disappointed because 11 is hard! I like the see-through window to access the phone screen and I can see I'm wearing it when I don't have bags and don't care about distance/pace tracking. But it will not serve the purpose I bought it for.
