I've tried several brands of this type of toothbrush and this one didn't fit. The bamboo handle is actually very nice with a very smooth finish. the best I've tried. But the lighter-colored bristles, which are softer and supposedly help protect your gums, deteriorate and deform after just a few cleanings. Anyone who uses this type of toothbrush knows that the thin, pointed bristles can damage your gums if you're not careful and aware. the feedback your mouth gives you when brushing your teeth. I don't really see a need for a ring of softer bristles and they will wear out your toothbrush almost immediately.
