This product can destroy cat urine. But it smells so gross, I'd rather have a cat smell. I just couldn't put it on the carpet and live with that smell. Not only is the smell terrible, it's strong enough, I smelled it even before I opened the box it was sent in. This happened even though I carefully checked to see if the bottle was leaking. It's not like this. After opening the shipping box and placing the bottle on top of the washing machine, I walked into the kitchen (next to the laundry room) a few minutes later and couldn't figure out what the stench was. I ended up putting it on the porch and then gave it to the local animal shelter. After sniffing it they might have thrown it away, I don't know. It's always possible I'm just overly sensitive to the chemicals they use against peeing, but if you have a good sense of smell or are sensitive at all, be prepared for what you're about to get. The description says "light fresh scent" - and dammit, that's a complete lie.
