Ok, the device is worthy. The base plate is slightly concave so I find it never lays flat when inserted so I have to put drops of glue on it to get it in place. Here's the problem: I wasn't aware that the unit needed a separate relay to control the electric water heater element and it took quite a bit of time and effort to figure it out. You can't just send about 1100 watts through a switch to start a water heater element. If I had known this was the case I would have simply bought a household switch to power the element. A wiring diagram included with the unit would be helpful.
