Every trimmer I've owned (3 before) sounded like their gears were plastic and they should have died right out of the box. So this trimmer got four stars from me just because it sounded like it wasn't on its last legs. It sounds powerful indeed and the performance is consistent - a well deserved 5th star. The other trimmers seemed to spin slower or faster depending on the angle I held them! This trimmer says it can work in the shower, but I just don't take electronic devices into the shower. I know it's low voltage, but I still won't do it. Advantages: Powerful work at constant speed and at any angle. Has 3 different attachments: for ears, nose and eyebrows. Easily removable top for cleaning. under $8 Authorizing Name - Whal. I have a whal clipper that is 20 years old and still works great. Cons: The plastic looks a little cheap, but then it costs less than $8. It would be nice if they provided a case to store the trimmer and all the attachments together. : A quality branded product that does what it says on the tin (although I haven't tested it in the water), does not sting, pull hair or scratch, at a very reasonable price. I am very happy with this purchase.
