Very easy to put on my golden retriever. I pull it over her harness and attach the leash to the loop on her chest. The jacket doesn't bother me. This kept my dog dry so all I had to do was towel dry her paws and head. Size XL was too tight so I changed it back to size XXL. It suits her thick fur better. She measures 31 inches at the chest, 19 inches at the neck and 23 inches long which is an XL size which was too tight. I'm very glad I bought this for our wet Seattle winter. It also has a light fleece lining so it doesn't get too warm.
