We bought these as replacement connectors for all of our masks just in case because I read a review that said your snorkel could be ruined if your snorkel doesn't stay in place due to the mask connector/hose being broken is. Ours didn't break, but one of our friends did, and I was able to help her and it worked out great. We have them right on our masks so we have them when we need them and since they are small enough it works. Spring. (We used them on two trips. To the Caribbean and to Hawaii). We also bought neoprene covers for the mask straps: Cressi Neoprene Strap Covers Black 2 Pack and were able to thread one end through the mask strap and then one end into velcro on the mask strap cover so you hardly noticed the presence of this extra. It was a comfortable rest.
