Yes I'm old school, I shoot with an older DSLR that uses cf memory cards. I have an iPad Pro 10.5 for editing at events. Couldn't find an official Apple product for it, no problem because I found it. When the reader is connected nothing happens, I inserted a CF card and boom! It just works. The speed is okay, especially with large RAW files, JPEGs are transferred faster. Okay, the only problem, and it looks like Apple OS is for those shooting raw plus jpeg. If you record both, only JPEG will be read and transmitted. So you should only shoot in Raw if you want to transfer Raw files. Another tip: as with most cf readers, the slot is flat so when inserting the card care must be taken to insert it correctly and carefully or you will bend the contacts. Deeper slot and this reader is almost perfect. Looks nice and clean like something Apple would release. I didn't check the SD or Micro SD slot.
