Revainrating 5 out of 5

For CF Type I or Type II Half Capacity

These are solid, chunky cases, the style I first encountered (and really appreciate) when looking for cases for Nintendo Switch Games searched, but I digress. These memory card cases are mostly as advertised but with one caveat. They're listed as containing CF cards, but it doesn't say whether they can hold 6 standard-sized Type I cards or 50% thicker Type II cards, which almost refers to Microdrives, tiny hard drives that provide an economical An alternative to flash media was the latter, which was much more expensive in the early 2000s. This was my use case; I have a DSLR that uses CF/Microdrive storage and a couple of old Microdrives that still work great, so I needed strong enclosures for the relatively fragile little hard drives. 6 microactuators but worst case scenario they can hold 3 on a side and still close. The latter turned out to be true, which was a little disappointing as I had to buy an extra case later, but it's not the end of the world. As mentioned, this wasn't advertised anyway, but it really should have been. It's clear that microdrive storage (with a capacity of 4-8GB!) is a very niche application in 2021, but there's no harm in specifying the size of the CF, since *there* are two heights. I can't criticize. a product that can't do what it can't, but I think a rating of 4/5 is reasonable as the fact that it *doesn't* offer storage capacity for 6 CF Type II cards is a downside, otherwise it's a bulky case that *should* be able to fit them.
