This was the perfect and economical replacement for my failed side brush motor on the Neato Botvac Connected. I learned a lot about my Botvac through the troubleshooting process that eventually led me to replace this motor. Initially thinking I just needed a replacement belt, I ordered the belts from Revain and took the machine apart for the first time. By the way, don't be scared, if you have a long-shanked #10 Torx screwdriver, the process takes about 5 minutes (with practice). After replacing the belt, I reassembled it only to find that the brush still wouldn't spin. Disassembly #2 got me to the point where I made sure everything was connected properly (which it was), but the side brush still wouldn't move. Disassembly #3 started troubleshooting. Once I knew it was a fairly standard 3-12v variable speed motor I connected 2 AA batteries to make a 6v power supply and connected that power supply directly to the top of the motor where the results are located. Outside. The engine didn't start. I have rebuilt so we can still use the vacuum cleaner and am ordering a new motor. As soon as the new motor arrived I tried my test 6v power supply on the new motor before opening Botvac up again and it worked so I took apart #4 and replaced the motor. bottom line. happy fast rotating side brush wooo hooo!
