Review on Fiskars 194900 Back to School Supplies: Preschool Training Scissors (Color May Vary) by Heather Shaw

As the first pair of scissors, they fit my daughter (almost 3 years) very well! It helped her a lot to develop dexterity and coordination in cutting paper properly. I plan to buy more for my class of special needs preschoolers. *UPDATE* After about 2.5 months one of the metal blades fell off completely when my 3 year old was cutting paper with it! Luckily I was sitting next to her when it happened! The opposite blade appears to have cut into the plastic "bubbles" that ran through the blade to hold it to the plastic piece on the outside of the blade, and after cutting those bubbles for several weeks, cut them so much that they don't hold the blade in place longer. Very disappointed with this Fiskars product! I would recommend finding a more durable pair of scissors with all metal blades rather than metal parts cheaply attached to plastic!
