This hat is great and surprisingly heavy. The brim is perfect for keeping rain off my face, and I love how it goes down over my ears. That said, I'm not quite sure why the fleece snood / neckwarmer thing is included. It doesn't feel necessary and is sort of odd and I can't imagine most folks using it. That said: hat is cute and thick and HEAVY. the hat feels very substantial in your hands, and holds your head nicely.
