I used this 2 1/2 diameter to attach two adjustable queen bed sections together in fixed positions. Place one on each leg of two beds, then secure them at the head and foot ends with wooden knobs. I drilled holes in the standoffs and attached them to the hangers with screws and washers. Attach the top brace to the headboard. Now everything stays in place when I lie down and stand up.
