I know this has already been posted but just wanted to repeat it. This distance will not work with the latest HD Dock. Someone from Microsoft's answers told me it was, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding. If, like me, you lost the remote for your HD AV Dock and turned it into an $80 charger, you'll have to buy the entire previous version of the dock and use the remote that came with it. That will work. The good news is that this docking station can be bought for around $9. I just wanted to help someone else avoid the frustration of pointing that little remote control at your dock, pressing buttons, and yelling "why?!?".
