GOOD BUT DESK FREE

I bought this to replace an AOC model that broke when something heavy was placed on it in the trunk of my car. There are several reasons why I chose it because of the AOC features that I didn't like. I expected ASUS to be better in this regard and these are: 1. CABLE: The cable is longer and more flexible than AOC. AOC was short and hard.2. CONNECTORS: Connectors on both ends fit securely and stay connected. AOCs don't fit well and easily come off when gear is moved or pushed. To make matters worse, the AOC's connection to the monitor is set to counteract gravity when it's upright, which is what I usually want. At ASUS, the connection works with gravity because it's pointing down when the monitor is upright, although the connection is strong enough that it's probably still holding up well. FALL: It's definitely better. It is more durable, safer and looks more professional than the AOC bag. One of the downsides is the elastic loop for holding the cord. It's a bit fussy when I'm packing and I wonder how long it will take. END: I carry my laptop and secondary monitor between the two offices I manage. The brushed bezel and metal back look much more professional and hide the fingerprints that have always marred the glossy black color of the AOC.5. STAND: That's why it only gets 4 stars. AOC comes with a space-saving stand. ASUS uses a carrying case as a stand. It may be fancy but takes up a lot of space and is very difficult to use in one of my places where the table is small. TAKEWAY: I would choose this over AOC again for all of the reasons above, but now I need to find a smaller booth. This is an additional cost and another thing I have to carry with me unless I buy one for each office and one for the car when traveling off office to visit a client for example.
