Not worth the money. There are better options.

I really, really wanted to like it. But I was very, very disappointed. I've been using the Acoustisheep SleepPhones brand for years and just decided to give Hoom a try as Acoustisheep cables tend to break after a year or two. However, I will return to Acoustisheep. For some reason, these Hoom sleep headphones are incredibly uncomfortable. (I bought the wired version, I don't like the idea of having Bluetooth emitting devices on my head at night). I'm pretty sure (?) I have a normal shaped head, but for some reason the headphones just don't sit properly on my ears no matter how I place the internal speakers. The band/speakers always seem too high, but I can't get them down any further because they just slide over my eyes and fall off. You can feel the seams, which is not very comfortable. And yes, as all the other reviews say (I think I should have listened), it's too cozy. I'm size M/L and it fits *just* just enough to be uncomfortable and make my body restless and a little irritable when I'm trying to sleep. I actually bought both sizes to try on and return one. The little one was WAY too small. Medium/Large seems fine when I try it on during the day, but every night I get jittery and irritable and I can feel my head pounding (like a slight pressure). Then I invariably wake up no matter how high I place the strap (which then reduces the sound quality), I wake up if the strap has slipped/fallen around my neck. I think the huge foam liner has something to do with it being stiff, too tight and not sitting well on your head at night. Other brands I use don't have this and are MUCH more comfortable. Sure, they don't look as luxe and cool as the Hoom, but the sound quality is just as good and they stay on AND comfortable. Hoom has a lot of potential (I would say the app is good too) but I hope they catch on. Consider some of these reviews and make some adjustments. I don't have 60 bucks right now and I'm going back to Acoustisheep. I wish I had listened to other reviews.
