love this product! This saved my day when using long DVI and HDMI cables! Simple, Inexpensive, Great

Recently I had to run two cables, HDMI and DVI->HDMI, 30-36 feet each. In doing so, I forgot the standard limit of both formats, a limit based on cable quality and hardware specifications. HDMI has an attenuation limit of around 16', sometimes more in general. DVI has almost the same. What happens after these points is that you lose the ability to run higher resolutions and in some cases lose the signal entirely. I've had generally good results with 1080 resolution out to about 20 feet away. After two runs, quality on HDMI was poor at best and DVI didn't even work. This product saves the day! I connected it to the cable closest to the TV/monitor and the picture quality was perfect for both lines! It is powered by the HDMI line, but comes with a power adapter in case the HDMI signal does not transmit power signal. . In my case I didn't need a power supply. If you want to use it for DVI, you can do so, all you need is HDMI to DVI adapters. ADVANTAGES: * Great price - you can't go wrong with the price * Simple - just use it with an HDMI cable * Requires no external power supply (with rare exceptions) * Small size - no larger than a plug USAGE NOTES: * Physically similar the device an HDMI connector, a female jack. That means you can connect two HDMI cables to it.* If you need to plug it directly into a wall outlet, like I did, use a male-to-male adapter, such as the HDMI cable. B. Your cable store adapter HDMI male to male adapter Papa" Gold Plated * HDMI (and sometimes DVI) carries the power signal so the device can use it to power it. If the green light does not come on after plugging it in, you need to you are probably using the power adapter.* It is VERY important that you connect it correctly. One end is IN and the other end is OUT. If you can't get a signal and the green light is on, you probably have it wrong. There's " Arrows" indicating which end is which. I tested the HDMI and DVI lines in both directions - once on the input side and once on the output side. The HDMI signal was amplified to a high quality in both directions, the DVI However, signal only worked if the device was properly connected.
