Description of 🔌 Tripp Lite HDMI Extender Equalizer: Active Repeater for Video and Audio, 1920x1200, 1080p at 24Hz (HDMI F/F) - B122-000

INCREASE THE DISTANCE A SIGNAL CAN BE TRANSMITTED: Extend a 1080p @ 24Hz (or 1920 x 1200) HDMI signal up to 150 ft. from the source which allows for the extension of an HDMI signal beyond regular distance limitations. GREATER FLEXIBILITY: When extending a 1080p @ 24Hz (or 1920 x 1200) signal more than 75 ft. use cable made with 24Awg wiring, such as the P568-100-HD. 24Awg HDMI cable is also needed when extending a 3D signal more than 50 ft. SUPPORTS: DTS-HD, Dolby True HD and 7.1 Channel Surround Sound Audio. CONVENIENT PLUG-AND-PLAY SETUP: No software or drivers required. Although most installations will not require power, a Micro USB port is provided in the event power is needed.

Good but not what I need

I bought this to use the HDNI switch in my receiver with two video sources but it wasn't working properly. The device is light and quite small. I tried it with an AV receiver (Onkyo TX-NR838), my Revain FireTV, a BluRay player (Samsung BD-C6500) and a TV (Samsung PN50B650S1FXZA). This only worked between the BluRay and the TV so I returned it. Worked great with a 15" HDMI cable between BluRay and TV without the unit's power supply. When I connected the receiver the TV flashed and when I…

Solved my static problems

This product did what the cheaper version couldn't, amplified my signal over a long distance so it doesn't distort to noticeable levels. Here is my setup: Receiver --50ft->Output --10ft->Output --3ft->Projector. I installed this item between the 50 foot cord and the first outlet using a plug to plug adapter to keep the distance as short as possible. I agree with others that the equalizer controls aren't explained in the manual and it's annoying, but I was so happy it solved my problem…

Small unit but powerful and powerful for signal amplification

I had a 24 foot cable from the receiver to the ceiling where I installed the projector. After about a year of work, for some reason the projector did not send a signal to the receiver .... Confused, I looked at the handset and everything was fine. I connected a shorter HDMI cable and it worked. After some research on the net I came across this product and thought I'd give it a try. Really impressed with the results. The quality of the signal, which the receiver did not receive at all, has now…

Worked great over a long run with multiple cables (36ft)

I have a ceiling mounted HD projector that will display video and audio from a Blu-Ray DVD player and must play a MacBook Pro connected to it via a 4-to-1 HDMI switch. I originally used an HDMI cable extension to get a good signal for a projector that was using two CAT-6 cables for work, but for some reason the signal degraded over time to the point where my setup stopped working. The projector doesn't sync to either device and only shows video with no audio when I set the DVD player to 480p…

Works well with 3D but does not transmit audio return channel

After I installed my new HDTV and connected it to my A/V receiver with a 50ft HDMI cable, my Blu-ray player started experiencing video dropouts (even though my DVR was working fine). I researched HDMI extenders and found that they are the only device that supports Blu-ray 3D content at 60Hz. After installing at the TV end of a 50ft HDMI cable, the video dropout problem is gone and my 3D movies play flawlessly. But I cannot use the "Smart TV" functions on the TV because the audio signal is not…

Video Noise Eliminator

I had to extend the cable between the PC and the LCD projector up to 25 feet to be able to use it in a conference room. I originally used DVI. The results of the new 1080P projector were disappointing - the image was sometimes smeared, pixels were sometimes shifted to the right, resulting in jagged vertical lines: digital noise. I switched to HDMI hoping another interface might have less noise. No fun. As an engineer, I knew what I needed: a circuit to clean up and re-digitize the signal before

I bought this product two years ago and it came exactly as the picture, extension cord and power supply. I bought it new in November 2017 and instead of an AC adapter it had a micro USB socket on the side where the old power strip had a power connector. The new one didn't have a power supply or cable. I had to buy a micro USB connector for the Type A USB adapter cable and a power adapter to duplicate the old extension cable. While this new location might work for some users, it didn't in my…

Helped me out of my predicament

I had a problem in my home theater with occasional flashing images. At first I thought my Panasonic PT-AE4000 projector was defective, especially since the lens memory function never worked. After some research online, I decided my HDMI cable was too long (about 30 feet) and I was having HDMI jump. There are several HDMI amplifiers on the market but Tripp Lite has a good reputation and I found this product to be the best so I decided to give it a try. I plugged it into the projector end of the…

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons

Recently I had to run two cables, HDMI and DVI->HDMI, 30-36 feet each. In doing so, I forgot the standard limit of both formats, a limit based on cable quality and hardware specifications. HDMI has an attenuation limit of around 16', sometimes more in general. DVI has almost the same. What happens after these points is that you lose the ability to run higher resolutions and in some cases lose the signal entirely. I've had generally good results with 1080 resolution out to about 20 feet away.
