Amazing light after minor modification to support ambient light sensor

I used it to replace an old 7 watt motion sensor night light that worked great and finally died after 10 years. I've tried other motion-activated night lights and most of them had crappy range and wouldn't turn on until you were within inches of the sensor. Just not this one. I love this night light. It turns on at least 15 feet away and has excellent angle perception too. It's much brighter than the bulb it replaces. It takes a few days to get used to the "white" light and not the "warm" light of the old 7-watt bulbs, but now I don't want to go back. The whiter the light, the better. There's an ambient light sensor on the bottom, so it only turns on when the room is dark. I use it in a countertop level outlet in the kitchen and the sensor doesn't pick up the ambient light very well at the current location; maybe because he's only a few inches from the counter. So I flipped it over in the socket and that solved the sensor issue, but I didn't like the pattern of light it gave off when flipped over. Not enough light. So I brought the lantern back right side up and cut out a 2" x 2" square from a small piece of white paper. I folded a square of paper at a 45 degree angle and secured the whole thing behind the light source and in front of the outlet (see image). This reflected the light from the room into the sensor and now it works great. I can adjust the sensitivity of the light sensor by cutting or folding the paper square. Great light, works well and looks good. Hope it lasts for many years.
